Hi there - thanks so much for taking the time to learn a little about me! My name is Olivia Holt  - but please, call me Liv! I’m the manager here at Wise Owl Accounting, located right here in Poquoson, Virginia. I’ve worked in accounting for over 12 years, with eight of those years focused on tax preparation and planning. I also enjoy helping small businesses grow through search engine optimization (SEO) and website development, blending creativity with strategy in everything I do.

As a tax accountant, I handle a little bit of everything - from bookkeeping and payroll to tax prep, filing, and strategic planning. I like to think of myself as the "bridge" between everyday numbers and long-term goals, helping clients feel confident and cared for throughout the process. I work with a variety of accounting and tax platforms like QuickBooks, Wave, and Drake Tax, and I’m experienced in both Microsoft and Google tools - from spreadsheets and word processing to business management systems. One of my favorite quotes from Alice in Wonderland is, "I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.” It reminds me that every day brings a fresh chance to learn and grow, both professionally and personally.

I earned my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Accounting from Virginia Peninsula Community College and am currently completing my Bachelor’s in Accounting at Old Dominion University. I’m a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Tax Preparer, and Notary Public - and I’m currently working toward becoming an Enrolled Agent and Certified Fraud Examiner. Above all, I believe in treating others how I’d want to be treated - building lasting relationships through honesty, empathy, and a whole lot of heart.
