Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and learn a little bit about me. My name is Olivia Holt, but you can call me Liv!

I'm the manager here at Wise Owl Accounting, right in the heart of Poquoson, Virginia. I've working in the accounting field for over 12+ years, with eight of those years dedicated to tax preparation and planning. I like to think of myself as the "bridge" between your everyday numbers and your long-term goals, making sure you feel confident and cared for every step of the way. As a tax accountant, I handle a little bit of everything - from bookkeeping and payroll to strategic tax planning and filing. 

My educational journey started at Virginia Peninsula Community College, where I earned my Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Accounting. From there, I took my passion for numbers to Old Dominion University, where I proudly gradated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting! 

To make sure I'm always bringing the absolute best to my clients, I've become a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Tax Preparer, and Notary Public. I'm also currently advancing my qualifications to become an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Since I am extremely experienced in modern accounting and tax software, I easily adapt to whatever systems your business prefers to use - whether that's QuickBooks (Online or Desktop), Wave, Drake Tax, or standard Microsoft and Google business tools.

Beyond the spreadsheets, I also love helping small businesses grow through website development and search engine optimization (SEO), blending creativity with strategy.

One of my favorite quotes from Alice in Wonderland is, "I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then." It's a daily reminder that every morning brings a fresh chance to learn and grow, both professionally and personally. Above all, I believe in treating others exactly how I'd want to be treated - building lasting relationships through honesty, empathy, and a whole lot of heart.
